Renault Clio RS 200Renault’s little hot hatch, the Renault Clio Renaultsport 200, has received a mid-cycle face lift, along with the rest of the Renault Clio range, and has also benefited from a slight engine upgrade and improved aerodynamics, courtesy of Renault’s Formula 1 program! Two versions of the Renault Clio RS 200 will be available: the standard Clio RS 200 and a stripped down Clio RS 200 Cup aimed at Renault customers who are “passionate” about their driving!

The 2.0-liter 16-valve four-cylinder F4R RS engine that powers the Clio RS 200 and the Clio RS 200 Cup has been tuned for more power, 3 more to be exact, and now produces a maximum power of 200 bhp at 7,100 rpm (up from the 197 bhp that the Clio RS 197 produced). The aerodynamic features on both versions include an aerodynamic blade built into the front bumper, a low-positioned air intake, a front wing air-extractors and a rear diffuser with more visible twin exhaust tailpipes. The Clio RS 200’s wings are also 30.5mm wider to accommodate the wider front and rear tracks. The exterior also gets a two-tone color scheme based on a choice of Gloss Black or Anthracite finish for the front bumper center section and blade, door mirror housings and rear diffuser.

The stripped down Clio RS 200 Cup though has a lower level of equipment but a stiffer suspension for improved road holding with uprated dampers, stiffer springs and a lower ride height, as well as a higher ratio steering rack. These will be available as optional on the Clio Renaultsport 200. The Renault Clio RS 200 Cup retails at £15,750 while the standard version is available at £16,570. The Clio RS 200 is on order as of today with the first deliveries expected at the end of June.
